Forsyth County Butterfly Count
June 23, 2001

On Saturday, June 23, Nancy & Bob Baldwin, Charlie Cameron, Elizabeth Riggs and I spent 9 hours under partly cloudy skies and 64 to 79 degree temperatures looking for butterflies. It had rained an inch or so the evening before the count, so there should have been plenty of nectar in the many flowers we looked at trying to find butterflies. We added no new species to the 78 species previously reported for Forsyth County.

1 Black Swallowtail
1 Eastern Tiger Swallowtail
9 Cabbage White
