Mary Westmoreland, Donna and Dennis Forsythe met at 09:30AM EDT on
September 25, 2004 at the entrance of the Laurel Hill Wildlife Drive,
Savannah NWR, Jasper Co., SC. We searched for butterflies at the edge of the
marsh near the work shed on the North Side of the refuge, in the butterfly
garden at the entrance of the wildlife drive, along the wildlife drive proper
and at the Kingfisher Recreation Area before quitting at 4:00PM Although the
day was cool, windy and overcast, we had 27 butterfly species with are most
noteworthy ones being Aaron's, Rare and Dion skippers. Our biggest miss was
Texas Crescent which Mike Turner found on the Cistern Trail the next weekend.
