Folks,
On Sunday, June 1, we had a very nice day of butterflying, except for the
15-20 mph wind, which forced us to spend most of our time on woods trails
and wood edges - to windy to find and ID in the open fields. WE (Charlie
Cameron, Pat Carstensen, Pam & Doug DeNeve, Jules Fraytet, Laura Smith, and
I) spent our time at Yadkin County Park and the 2 River Access Parks that
we visit each year. A lot of Azures, Commas, Questionmarks, and Red Admirals. Botanical
development is about 10 days behind that of previous years, with Asclepias
tuberosa and similar flowers still in bud.
