SUMMARY:Virtual Symposium and Business Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a virtual symposium and annual business meeting of CBS (Carolina Butterfly Society) this Saturday\, January 29 beginning at 9:00 AM. If you would like to participate\, please send a request to the following email and a link to the meeting will be returned to your email. \ncarolinabfly.soc@gmail.com \nNote that if you choose to participate in the business meeting\, it will start following the lunch break after the presentations. You will need to click on the hyperlink that will be provided and then follow any instructions. Because CBS has purchased the Pro version of Zoom\, there is no time limit for this meeting. \nThree presentations will be made during this virtual symposium as listed below. Please note that the indicated start times are estimates and will depend on how many questions each presenter might need to answer. \n1.   9:10 “Milkweeds of the Carolinas” by Dennis Burnette\n2. 10:00 “Native Plants for Pollinators at the Hutchinson House” by Tom Austin\n3. 11:10 “Butterflies of Honduras” by Robert Gallardo \nThe session host will open the Zoom meeting at about 8:45 AM and participants are encouraged to join the session before the scheduled start time of 9:00 AM. Please note that Zoom software will need to be installed on your device to join the Zoom meeting (for viewing the symposium presentations and/or to attend the business meeting). \nPer the agenda\, which will also be provided along with the Zoom session link\, there will be about an hour “break” for lunch starting after the last presentation is finished at around 12:10 PM. The “lunch break” will last until the business meeting begins at 1:15 PM. Anyone can leave the Zoom session at any time by clicking the red ‘ Leave ‘ (or possibly ‘ End ‘ or ‘ Leave Meeting ‘) button in the lower right corner of the screen. Anyone who has left the meeting can rejoin the Zoom session by again clicking on the link that will be provided.
